Same-Day Glasses
Most eyewear shops send your lenses out to a lab somewhere else, and then you wait. A week, sometimes longer, squinting through your old pair or wearing the backup glasses from 2014 that were supposed to be for emergencies only. We skip that part. Siegmund Eye Care has its own lens lab in the building, so when your lenses are in stock, your glasses can be ready the same day, often within an hour.
How our in-house lab works
Once your exam is done and you’ve picked a frame, your lenses are cut right here. Tim, who has been an optician for more than thirty years, runs the lab. He edges each lens to the exact shape of your frame on an Optronics edger, which handles every shape, size and power in standard plastic, polycarbonate and hi-index.
Because the work never leaves the building, there’s no shipping, no outside queue and no “it should be here by Thursday.”

We keep a wide range of lenses on the shelf, and most everyday single-vision prescriptions are covered. If yours calls for something we need to order, we’ll tell you when to expect it before you leave, so you’re not left guessing.
Lenses we keep on hand
We stock digital high-definition, plastic, polycarbonate, hi-index, progressive and flat-top bifocal lenses. Having them on the shelf is what makes same-day glasses possible.
