He is certified in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular disease, including conjunctivitis, strabismus, amblyopia, blepharitis, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and dry eye.

Background

Dr. Jason is originally from Canton, Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State University. Go Bucks. He has lived in Myrtle Beach for almost twenty years.

His expertise, communication, attentiveness and care for his patients have won him a string of awards, and he has been voted best optometrist and best optical in Myrtle Beach numerous times.

Fun facts about Dr. Jason

Dr. Jason is a proud father of two boys. Gavin is at Clemson studying pre-med biology, and Tate is at Myrtle Beach High School and a member of the National Honor Society. He also has two Great Danes, Gunner and Brutus, with a combined weight of over 300 pounds.

When he isn’t caring for patients, Jason plays tennis, golfs, fishes, travels and cheers for the Buckeyes. While vacationing in Berchtesgaden, Germany, he came across Optic Siegmund, a family-owned optical shop in the Bavarian region, so optometry may well be in the Siegmund genes. His sister, Dr. Cyndi, joined the practice in 2024.
