Dr. Cyndi Siegmund-Drenth

Cyndi Siegmund-Drenth, OD is a board certified optometric physician who has been practicing eye care since 2000.

What Dr. Cyndi treats

She is certified in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular disease, including conjunctivitis, strabismus, amblyopia, blepharitis, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and dry eye.

Background

Dr. Cyndi graduated from The Ohio State University and received her doctorate from Illinois College of Optometry.

She was born with exotropia, an eye turn, and had muscle surgery at three years old followed by years of vision therapy. That experience is a large part of why eyesight and eye health were always taken so seriously in the Siegmund household. Working in private practice alongside her brother had been the plan for a long time before it happened.

Fun facts about Dr. Cyndi

Dr. Cyndi has been married for 24 years to Doug, an emergency room physician. Doug’s father has been an optometrist in San Jose, California for almost fifty years.

They have a son, Hunter, who is in medical school at the University of Cincinnati and heading toward ophthalmology, and a daughter, Dakota, who finished at Florida Atlantic University and is going on to Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. The hope is that she joins Siegmund Eye Care in due course.

Outside the office, Dr. Cyndi plays pickleball, exercises, shops, and spends as much time with family as she can.
