Topcon TRC-NW400 Fundus Camera
The new TRC-NW-400 non-mydriatic fundus camera Topcon produces true colour fundus photos of the retina in excellent quality. Details are very clear and sharp. The TRC-NW400 has the traditional 3 fixation for nasal, central and temporal images. Besides that, you can photograph the complete periphery due to nine fixation targets for peripheral imaging. With TRC-NW400 you perform a quick screening or do a more elaborate examination. Fundus cameras have all been approved for Diabetic Eye Screening.
Digital retinal photography uses a specialized low power microscope with an attached camera designed to photograph the interior surface of the eye, including the retina, optic disc and macula. Retinal photography also allows us to diagnose diseases of the eye and monitor progression of these diseases. Eye diseases that we commonly diagnose and monitor with retinal photos include glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy and others.

We also use retinal photography to create a baseline digital image of the retina for future comparison. We believe this is a great way to offer the best in preventive eye care. We also have our digital retinal camera networked into all our exam rooms so that we can show the photos to patients to better educate them about their eye health or eye disease.

Topcon CT-80 Computerized Non-Contact Tonometer
The “puff of air’ test makes intraocular pressure measurements easier and more comfortable than ever before. It features a 30% faster measurement time, a triple patient safety function, and a dual sensor measuring system for the detection and monitoring of glaucoma. A patient that is considered to have glaucoma or a glaucoma suspect will also have applanation tonometry for a more accurate intraocular pressure measurement.

8 megapixels of resolution for clear, crisp images, videos, and the highest quality digital documentation

Humphrey FDT – Frequency Doubling Technology Visual Field
Visual fields are used to check a patients’ peripheral (or side) vision. Visual field loss may occur due to diseases or disorders of the eye, optic nerve, or brain. We measure this by using a specialized instrument called a computerized visual field where points of light are flashed onto a white screen and the patient is asked to press a button if he or she sees it. The computer then automatically maps and calculates the patient’s visual field.

Our doctors use visual field exams to diagnose and monitor glaucoma, detection of central or peripheral retinal disease, eyelid conditions such as ptosis or eyelid drooping, optic nerve disease, and diseases affecting the visual pathways within the brain, tumors, and medication toxicity from Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil).
